I have my Studio 192 in a rack. Like all other items in the rack, the Studio 192 is plugged into a Furman power supply.
Is there any way to make it so that when I turn on the power supply, the Studio 192 turns on (like all my other rack devices)? As it is, I must turn on the power supply and then I need to manually turn on the 192. Thanks.

I reached out to support about this issue and was told:
No unfortunately this is not possible. I tried to find out if it was possible with a firmware update but could get no further information. I will continue to have to manually turn on my Studio 192 after powering up my rack and other rackmount electronics. Worse, I need to wait to turn on my computer because it doesn't seem to like when I bring up Studio One and the 192 is not powered up.

As I understand it, that button is a soft switch (software, not hardwired). That's the issue. As of this post, there is no remedy that I have found, but I'm sure it is being explored.

Yea... I suppose, in hindsight, they probably wished they installed a hard switch there.
Hopefully some software programming wizardry will take care of this for us. Regards

I asked for this the day they released the product but unfortunately it was a design trade off.
The default state of the relay is off and the firmware does not get power (in order to remember its last state) until you physically engage the button. Unless they offer an end customer modification kit or power relay switch upgrade swap out I am afraid will have to live with it. (Believe it or not in the 90s Line 6 use to do just that. Send modification kits that you could use to improve your Pod hardware.)

Darn it...
My experiment of holding the power button "in" while turning on the power strip did not work. I was hoping that we could just tape a nickel over the power switch to hold it in would get it to turn on when it gets power. Nope... if you do that you must release and repress the button. Duh! So, if not already submitted, I will gladly submit a feature request if i can figure out where to submit it. Edit... Seriously, I can't find the feature request section for USB Audio. If someone can explain where it is or even better provide a link I would appreciate it. Thanks Regards

I've had the opposite problem.
I believe my unit was defective in that I couldn't use my power button.. But I've been so busy, and not had the luxury of being able to send it back in for "repairs" My other interface doesn't have the quality, so i just put up with it being plugged into the furman for power switching. |

Keep up he hope guys but unless they offer an upgrade hardware kit that rewires the circuitry or offer a replaceable switch that mechanically remembers its position, the 192 will always be this way.
They can't posible fix it with the firmware as the firmware is after the power switch.
