According to the RM series block diagram, the front panel Tape In can be routed to any of the available Mix Buses. Using the CS18AI, I don't find a way to do this. When I select the Tape In channel in the Returns layer and press the Assign Edit button, no Sub Mixes appear in the LCD Subgroup Assign page. Is this feature not implemented on the CS18AI?

Correct, "Subgroup Assign" is not available for Talkback, Tape In and Dig Ret (Digital Return). Talkback has a completely separate routing and leveling, Tape In and Digital Return are controlled via the Return button individually for mains and auxes. Select a bus, then press the button "Returns". Now you see the seven returns on faders. Tape In is the fifth fader.
Don't mind that you can assign all four FX returns to subgroups via Assign Edit. It's one of the many bugs reported. |
