StudioLive RM32Ai and RM16Ai Mixers & UC Surface with QMix Ai

I see the CS18ai utilizes UCNet to control the rm AND Studio One . seems not much of a stretch that the fader port which also uses ucnet could control UC Surface and thus the RM aswell . one could scroll through Mixer channels same as studio one using channel select button . or have physical fader control of channel selected by touch or mouse.

it would be a very nice option for those home studios on a budget . The RM series are nice and this functionality would make it even better . Plus it truly fits into the Active Integration concept .

Faderport uses midi, not ucnet.

...and there's no MIDI support on the RM.
Coincidence?
CS18 or nothing for physical faders on the RM.

Basically a remake of the CS18 in a light weight and small factor will silve this need since control is also over internet / Wifi.

Or

Imagine EAR MIX 16M-like with some faders with slave master/slave control over the 16R/24R/32R, then monitoring world mix will be way cooler, also endless possibility for small HOW on budget. Now thats a market to tap into.

Similar 》》》》》 best of both worlds.

The idea of using some kind of Faderport as controller for rack mixers is not new. Many users have been asking for it over the years and as the "FIT" shows, something like this can make a lot of sense. It's simply no fun to mix on glass, especially with daylight and high temperatures... It should be clear that there must be two "controllers": A touchscreen (or tablet) for UC Surface and a "keyboard" with faders, scribble strips, buttons and encoders.

But the needs go further. What about audio at FOH? What about recording? What about playing tracks from a computer? What about Remote Control (Capture, Studio One)? Nothing goes without AVB, so the physical control unit (the keyboard) must have network connection, control connection (router), at least 3 audio inputs (music and talkback) and the complete monitoring section (headphones, stereo outputs). And if you have all that, you can also get a SL 32SC for the same price and enjoy even more features like DAW Mode and User fader banks...

I don't think a PreSonus FAT (that would be a propper name...) is going to happen for the Series III family. But I can imagine a Series IV based on a modular concept... ;-)
