AudioBox iTwo, no support for OSX volume control?

Hi there,
I just hooked up my iTwo to my Mac and it seems to be working fine, but I cannot use the volume control on my keyboard or on the status bar to control the output for my iTwo, is this normal?

This is correct. The OSX volume control defers to the main volume pot on the iTwo.

A bummer though, makes quick adjustments more cumbersome, but I'll survive

Is this situation still true (Feb 2021)? I just bought an M1 Mac Mini and have no joy using the volume control keys on my keyboard with my AudioBox iTwo. I also own an AudioBox USB; will it exhibit the same behavior in OSX? Thanks!
