No sound out of 16.4.2 after recording.

I have a studio/live 16.4.2 classic mixer after recording tracks on MacBook pro ( Mojave) I have meters showing sound on mixer and computer Studio one 4 pro. But no sound going to speakers from main out, or headphones. If I disconnect FireWire and shut down for a bit. When restarting board only I have sound going to speakers. Very frustrating. anyone have any ideas. Thanks in advance .Tony.
