Hi Everyone,
First post, apologies for the noob question. I've been using Studio One with Guitar Rig Pro for a couple of years now and it's great. So I got a gig at my nephews 21st in December playing some Satriani stuff. My brother will be playing bass, a friend will be drumming on an electric kit and I'll be on my beloved S series Ibanez. I'd like to feed everyone into Studio One via a USB AudioBox (I have a 22VSL at the moment but can upgrade to a 44VSL) and use it to mix with, and as far as I can tell the 44VSL has lineouts that would allow each of us to have a monitor each as well. The tricky bit is that I'd want the Guitar Rig fx in my monitor as well as front of house :/ Is it possible to do all this in Studio One? (sexy) or do I need to just use an external mixer? (not as sexy). |
Hi.
I would assume so, with any DAW really. as long as your computer is up to the task of running at a low enough latency for it to be viable in a live situation. If you plan to do that, do a test run / rehearsal or two beforehand to make sure that it can do that without dropouts or audio glitches, and that the latency is low enough for the performers. |
