Hello friends from other countries than germany.
Please dont be confused because of this strange greeting, but there is a thread in the german S1 forum about Sysex already (viewtopic.php?f=120&t=11410), where we germans are discussing why WE whant Sysex in S1.
Of course we whant that to do our Sysex dumps from our beloved old synths straight into our songs
So, im asking myself if anyone from the other countries is missing Sysex too in S1?
By the way you can vote here for Sysex in S1: http://answers.presonus.com/7444/sysex- ... ps-in-song
Thumbs up for better midi. I have a lot of old midi files that S1 won't send the full info to hardware expander modules...
Maybe one day I'll actually finish a project!
I use to save system exclusive setup's from my PSR 330 and Yamaha DJX Keyboard's as part of my songs created on Octamed Sound Studio ( An Amiga Tracker) back in the 1990's, otherwise known as midi bulkdumps. You could save your songs and any settings you had. The two synths I use now ( See sig) actually have a settings editor for windows/mac. Settings can be saved to internal memory or SD card. But I also have a Yamaha QY100 sitting on one of them, and I think it uses Bulkdump functions also. It's kinda funny when I think back to the old days of saving data for your GM midi instrument based music.
