This one has come together well, i think, but any feedback is welcome.

I am wondering what genre you might say it is, or any musician or group it reminds you of? I know genre is getting more blurred every day but the major music sites still ask for it, and I never am sure what to say other than ...pop?

Nice composition, arrangement and mix.
I don't know how to pick a genre, but there is a 1970's smooth element to it.
But that alone doesn't describe it.
The composition and arrangement so set up a certain mood. And the bass
is perfect. The mix is really good.

Now, going to personal taste: Vocals are very good. But processed in a very, very common
and over-used way. And that's NOT an insult to your singing. Quite the opposite!

What I would like to hear is the mix as-is, except with the main vocal with no other processing,
other than some basic leveling and a touch of reverb.

I agree with the two gentleman on all counts. It's an R&B like feel. There's a dash of smooth jazz with the sax or clarinet part. Nicely done. I'd also agree the vocals hold up on their own, but could lose a little less effect.
The chorus while strong has a nice vibe on the piece, so way to go, there. The "let go" background part has a really good strong effect on it. Nice!

Nice man. Good lounge feel.
