"Pali Face", a fuzzy spacey instrumental

this is another active song i'm working on, that i applied a fuzz-driven solo track across,
just to experiment with the new barber exacta fuzz i recently received.

Nice... reminds me of ala "Spocks Beard". ;)
OK nice fuzz but I've got about 5 pedals and twice as many fuzz, distortion and overdrive plugins and really can't tell them apart. 8-)
And that's because... sure they have their tone, etc. but I always seem to tweak them to the tone I like anyway.

spocks beard!
now there's a name you don't hear every day!

this pedal, doesn't really sound like any other pedal to me.
i'm quite happy with this decision.

plugins, forget it, i can't use em.

i think, pedals are quite unique, even amongst their own kind, but each one speaks a slightly different language,
and you have to find the one that speaks yours.

thanks for listening!

I hear ya on that. I seem to do that a lot myself. I'll try a new amo or plugin in an effort to get a different sound only to end up having it sound like my previous tone. Maybe that means that you have "your” tone? idk

Spoken like a true guitarist. Makes a lot sense.

I listened to this again at home. It sounds really good to my ears. I like the rhythm guitar parts a lot. Some really good lead tones in there too. The piece has a sort of dark & dreamy vibe which I can really get into. I think I may of heard a few David Gilmore-ish lead licks in there maybe?

Nice work!

hey haus, yea, earbuds, if they are good ones WITHOUT the extended bass, are a great way to pick up details of a mix.
i always a/b my mixes with some nice akg earbuds before i commit a mix.

I’ve got some lower end of the market JBL’s right now but I’m looking for something better.

Which AKG’s do you have?

You got in your bat cave on this bat. It's dark and sensitive at the same time.
Really nice work.
Love the chords.
Killer pic you put with it.

Sounds very nice. Great playing.

alright Bbd! thanks so much for listening to this one.
the keyboard approach made me think about some different guitar voicings,
i'll be playing with some more keyboard written songs as a result.
i'm rusty on my keys, tho, so it'll take me some time to get decent

Well you certainly channelled your inner Floyd with this one, I even got a little 'classic' Oldfield in places which was nice (and probably unexpected by you ;) )

Very nice work. Thanks for sharing

with my somewhat recently damaged pneumonia-addled voice...
