i think the fidelity of this link is better than soundcloud.

so, this is the 2nd round of mixing that i've posted public....
it's getting closer.

it's kind of a rocker, rock-steady sort of thing, a little psychedlic, nothing that a shot of tequila wouldn't fix.
:)

would love to know if there are any translation issues before i move on,
thanks.

Nice energy and lead vocal.
Bass maybe too hot.
I would like to have heard some reverb or delay on the lead vocal.
Seems flat.

I think you could add more dimension. Like guitars L & R coming up a tad. Drums more ambient. Kick more defined.
Even a touch of stereo widening.

Like the song. Just feels like a rough mix based on your other productions.

alright Bbd! thanks for the review,

i needed it!!

you know, i have both reverb AND delay on the vox!
but it's set back, and i was going for a more in the face mix on this,
but i'll mix it in hotter, and see what happens...

kick more defined, check. working on that now.
i guess, as far as it being compared to my other productions,
i guess it's time for me to move in a different direction,
so i'll probably move away slightly from previous productions,
so i don't get in a rut.

i'm trying to find out how drier, and more direct, plays out.

thanks again!

Hey bat.
The thing is, your writing, playing and arranging are so darn good that your mixes now need to come up to that level. That's why I provide feedback for you.
Your stuff is so good that it really never "needs" anything. But you ask for comments and hopefully it helps.
Keep up the great work.

Jim
