The song is about people expecting to get gifts at Christmas and that Santa is only visiting the rich and the poor has to wait and in some parts of the world people starve and no Santa for them. The unfairness of the distribution of wealth in the world in general. I met the songwriter of the original (a member of one of the first three punk-rock bands in Norway (De Sjenerte) before doing this and all was ok for a beer !! That's the spirit !! It's really about friend knowing friends meeting friends and hook up and do stuff when people make music here. it's that simple. On this one I played all (and mr. ezdrummer the magnificient) and did the singing.
