This is my last tune that was recorded, mixed, and mastered in S1 3. I can now upgrade to S1 4. Hooray.

Wow, what's not to like!
I love the song, the layout and change-ups come and go at the right time. Very well mixed, all the instruments sound great and are clearly heard. You also use the stereo spectrum well - it has a great 'full' sound. Scott

codyhazelle wroteGreat sound! How'd you record those guitars, bud? What mic? What placement? What guitars? What kinda room? Thanks for the comments. I recorded the rhythm guitars with a modified Avantone CV-12, and the lead with an AKG C451B and placed about a foot from a Martin D-18 near the 14th fret. Preamp is a Tone Beast. The room is an untreated spare room, so I had to find just the right spot to move the guitar to keep the harsh sounds to a minimum. |
