Hi Jon,
first of all, i liked your tune quite much. It made me thinking about my ma, she passed away a couple of years ago, and it gave me an instant warm and intimate feeling while listening to your song. Your mix sounds good on my phones and stereo, well balanced. I got ozone elements 8 for 6,- € coming with the latest edition of the german beat magazine. After playing around a couple of hours i wasn't convinced to use it on any of my upcoming mixes. It might be ok for todays mainstream radio pop and EDM, to give a starting point - in my opinion. I check all my mixes on a old cellphone with a tiny mono speaker and very cheap headphones. That's a good way for me to hear if anything is missing.

I got Ozone 8 Adv. and I like what I got A Dynamic EQ and the Imager + the Limiter's ability to learn the threshold when in doubt or other. Of course adjustments are in order but it does a quick first impression if needed to get going. also the Dyn. EQ has a learn function and that is nice for a different view on the spot if needed.
I used Dynamic EQ's before but like this one. My 2 cents worth.

As for your comments re. Ozone, yes, I suspect it may suit a more 'commercial' type of music than that which I seem to produce lolKlypeman, yes I guess all of these tools should only be used as a starting point. My problem is I think I might just think the tool knew best and start questioning my ears. Ozone is still on my list of 'maybes' Mike, thank you. Sorrow does certainly seem to have been my 'high point' in terms of feedback and popularity

So it turns out that if you buy something from Plugin Boutique at the moment they send you a code to get Ozone Elements for free .. problem sorted given I just bought something there
