Toe tapping as I write .. :)

Very catchy and uplifting tune .. really nice 'quality' mix as well. Maybe just a tiny bit up on the vocals though perhaps?

Still tapping ... :punk:

Thanks for sharing!

I liked it. Good melody and lyrics.

Some suggestions since you asked.
I know its not fair to compare to an industry hit but you might pick up on some things by doing so.

The Eagles "Lying Eyes"

Simply start playback on your song and start playback on the Eagles song then stop on or the other to A/B them.

It has a nice wide stereo image and bass and kick are nice. Your bass and kick are good as well.

For your lead vocal, I would not use the doubling on verses. You can strengthen the chorus with it but I found for this song it took away from you as the artist.

You hear doubling on the verses?

Thanks for the link. I'll give that a go!

I seem to always like your stuff. 8-)
Mixed well, melodic with a relaxed feel.

Doubling vocals is something I do sparingly cuz it seems so over done.
When I do it, I usually just want to 'thicken' the vox, not create a choir. ;)

:+1 Thanks Scotty, I'm not hearing vocal doubling on the verses though

Exactly what I mean. ;)
If you're not 'feeling' it then it's not right to add doubles.
It's your song creation and you have the vision.

What I'm saying is there isn't any doubling on the verses.

It sounds like a double on my side. Could be your EFX for the lead. Not a big deal. Was a suggestion.
;)

Context, context.
OK...
1) I thought it was suggested that you add "doubling" to the vox.
2) I do not hear doubling in this song and it sounds fine as is.
3) It's your song and in the end your choice... I would think either way it's still really nice. ;)

No worries dude...for a minute there I thought I was gonna have to go back into my DAW, open it all up and do something. You know...actually walk to the room, turn the computer on, turn the sound card on, turn the monitors on, double click the SO icon, wait for it to load, open the project...etc

I just about had to check myself in for a minute there. That was a close shave :D
