Diamond Mine - How's the mix?
First time mixing on 8 inch speakers...Yamaha hs8's. I feel like it's one of my better mixes. What do you think? https://soundcloud.com/user-186908625/diamond-mine Thanks |
To me this mix is very good.
I classify the songs' genre, then use my memory database to compare it. To me this song is something like Alt-Country-Rock, so comparatively it seems right there.

Mix is good. Excellent guitar picking. If this is a group of individuals, great playing...toward the end the vox was reminding me of maybe a little Supertramp...LOL

Thanks for listening guys.
I've made some changes: - a bit more reverb on the vox, due to observations they were a bit bare - giving the bass guitar a boost down around 60-80hz to let it represent better on fuller range phones and speakers - turned the vox down a tad to try to glue them in better with a view they were a tad disengaged from the track. Using more reverb was a tactic I used here too...not sure if I went overboard with vox reverb though... |
