Hello my fellow music and S1 lovers
Just finished this new song I wrote back in 2008. I did a piano/guitar acoustic version. Recorded modestly at home  Used Gold on the vocal and acoustic guitar and pink2 of course on the piano mastered with Tim P Surge EQ + Gold Pre. pretty much it. also used Cupwise BX verb Hope you enjoy the mix and mastering. and the song maybe? This is really good.
The vox are nice and the piano sound is really sweet in 'verse' sections.  When the piano comes in with it's energy on the chorus, it sounds to me that the vox kind of disappear.

The quieter piano sections on this are mesmerising .. very nice!
I agree with the comments above about the louder chord sessions drowning out the vocal .. maybe back the piano off a little there? Thanks for sharing

Wow this is truly well done! The piano is haunting! when it is quieter. Maybe some panning as it gets louder, the mix gets a little crowded in the middle. Just a thought.

That was cool. Sounds great. Love the visual. Nice surprise toward the end.
Excellent recording and mix. I use Eris 3.5's with a sub and have a 40" Smart TV monitor. I watched this full screen in 1080 mode. Very nice experience. |
