After 16 years of marriage, I wrote a song for my wife.
I finished it Christmas eve as a present and have polished it some when I had time over the last couple weeks. I sang too. phpBB [audio]

Nice, wide production, with everything clearly heard in its own place, and at a good level. I particularly like the placement of the toms, and I love that twinkly synth pad. There's enough in there to keep my interest all the way through. Nice work.

Very nice work .. particularly the mix. As Garry said, everything is nicely placed and balanced. The vocals are pretty good too, I didn't realise you sang
I guess the important question is, did the wife appreciate it? Thanks for sharing such a personal piece

Thanks guys... that is good to hear as you 2 create great sounding stuff too.
The Twinkly sound is a modified "Chimes" sound from 1 of the nearly 1000* sounds in Air Tech's "Xpand!2" Yes, the wife loved it. I gave her the 'just completed' version on Christmas. Now she gets the polished one but probably won't notice the difference. *Bought the expansion packs.

The stereo width of the track really stood out to me and still sounded strong and clear on my mono grot box. The composition has a great feel. it's the type of song that would put anyone in a good mood. Very nice,!
PS...My girlfriend was listening to the song with me and loved it! Of course she hit me with the "when are you going to write something like that for me" question after listening. Be forewarned fellas |
A very charming song, like the arrangement and mix. I can feel the love for your wife through the song.
