After the really useful feedback from my original post I made a few tweaks to my last piece and added a second part which is more up-beat and picks up from the closing rhythm of part one.
phpBB [audio] The new section starts at around the 5:50 mark for those who want to skip the first part  However, having said that I did take on-board the comments about the guitar for part one so have made an attempt at some variation (I have to confess I'm not entirely convinced what I have done is better than the original guitar lead)It's turned into quite a long piece  As always, feedback most appreciated

It's nice. It's long but I stayed with it. Liked the 2nd piece when it gets minimal. Good texture and mix.

I listened to Passing Time - Extended Mix earlier, and then went down your page to check out another one of yours, Canyon Sunrise. I do like your ambient stuff... Good use of classic instruments. Lovely compositions, both. I don't mind long at all... Longer the better for me! cheers andy

I do tend to 'ramble on' when I put a piece together and often forget others may not get so 'involved' in a long piece. Edit - Canyon Sunrise, that's an old one you have dug up I've learnt a lot on this forum since I made that one and I think it shows in the mix. I might have to go and re-mix it now
