I like some of what I do, but I don't know much about the finer points of mixing/recording/levels/.....well....everything.

It's an audio "play"! It was different and kept me listening. Did the guy start out by saying "I saw you last night" all mellow and then later find out he or she did something and then he starts yelling the F word all over the place? The swing of emotions!
Maybe calling out the colors has something to do with it?

Or maybe I am imagining all this and you really just threw it all together and then tried to figure out what it means?

I give it an A for creativity.

I wanted to give it just enough form to let the listener piece together a plausible scenario. This way the listener can take it to different places; I didn't want to give too much.

The actual 'mix' sounded quite good to me .. just not quite sure what I'm listening to :)

The "colors" part was put in to give the piece a bit of a poetic repetition. Nonsensical, but gave it some "glue".
