Hi. Please let me know if this is correct. Could I use both firewire ports on StudioLive 16.0.2 to connect them to the 2 ports of a firewire PCI card on my laptop? Is this way a better way than use only one firewire port, considering redundancy?
Let's say, could be possible that one port could fail meanwhile the other keep working? Thanks in advance! |

No, firewire does not support redundancy. You should NOT connect both ports to the same device.
Your laptop has two ports so that two separate devices can be directly connected, your SL16 has two ports so that a second device (not another computer) can be daisy-chained from it.
