Hello,
I'm using the Startech adapter (Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2) AND THEN GOING INTO the Apple adapter (Thunderbolt 2 to Firewire 800)... AND THEN firewire 800 cable into our 32.4.2ai mixer. Universal Control appears to work just fine. Capture does not recognize the firewire device. Has anyone had any luck with this type of setup? I've dropped hundreds by now into adapters and still can't get it to work. PLEASE, anyone out there with advice? Thanks for your time, Ronny Young |
I have seen other people have success with the two adapters. Have you tried the OHCI Test in the File menu of the UC Surface yet?

@sjc193 I have not, but will do it today! Thanks
A small update from yesterday... The computer recognises the StarTech adapter but says something was wrong with the Apple adapter. I’ll have to recreate the issue to get the exact error message again, but I’m thinking it’s the Apple adapter messing things up. |
