Hi guys, sorry if this has been covered already BUT....
I did a short live session with a friends band. Took out the macbook pro and external HD with 32RM. I recorded 12 tracks in capture. Between takes we'd have a listen to their performances to critique. It took me awhile to figure out that I needed to click the FIrewire or digital button in Capture to hear the playback. What I discovered after that was the track inputs all switched over to network or firewire randomly in the UC and I'd have to put them all back to analoge inputs. This confuses me. Also, sometimes (random) I'd have only 3 or 4 tracks available to listen to on playback. slightly OT, I tried to store a session with a particular performance and when I tried to open it, I foud a previous performance was saved instead. Is there a cache someplace where I might be able to recover the track I wanted to save? Thanks! |

Hi,
I might suggest you make sure your working with the latest board drivers, UC and Capture. You didn't specify which mixer, so I cannot be sure exactly what versions. You should find these and the instructions in your "My Presonus" account. If you flashing an Ai console, make sure you use the latest version, and do a firmware recovery... this will wipe the board clean so make sure to back up any scenes you have first. The reason for the recovery method is, it makes sure there aren't any remnants of the old drivers in there to muck up the works... The stems should be in a folder (in PC it's in the documents under Presonus) in your documents, by default, but you can send them wherever you wish..
