Capture 1.x and Capture 2.x

With my MacBook connected to my RM32, in the Option List I get a choice of "Built-in Output" and "Presonus"

Choosing "Presonus", I can see the channel inputs and so on.

My question, on rare occasions I have seen "Presonus RM32" specifically listed in the Option List. On the one and only time I did a live show recording, and seeing only "Presonus" on the Option List there was no data in the file when I visited the session later that week.

Should I see just "Presonus" or "RM32" in the Option List?

Thanks!

Hm, I've never seen "RM32" on mine, only "Presonus," but haven't had any issues using it. So you completely lost an entire show recording? Sounds like you need to do a few tests before the next gig, to see if you can recreate the problem.

If your having issue with capture recording perhaps this article will shed some light:
http://support.presonus.com/entries/300 ... -firewire-

As for the flashing of the Ai32 you saw? Perhaps your referring to Capture Sync, which will show a listed RM32AI IF you are connected to one.

The Presonus you see must refer to the interactive driver version 4.2.0 that comes with UC Surface installations.

This could be cable related, computer related driver related... Just yesterday I I updated all the drivers and whatnot for my 24Ai and just opened capture and did a one button record and recorded a couple hours of nothing to make sure everything worked properly.

If you are on the latest version of Capture, there is a network button on the start page middle bottom. If you hit that, it scans the network for mixers. At that point I think it lists the mixer by product name.

That shouldn't be needed for recording, so you may have other issues.
