In every tab book that I own, the slides, hammer-ons and pull-offs in the TAB staff have the slur arc joining the respective notes into a single phrasing. The arc appears in both the TAB staff and the standard notation staff. I can't seem to get this to work in Progression 3, which is disappointing.
When I have the slur tool active, I click on one of the numbers in the TAB staff and move the tool to the next note, just as you normally would, making sure that the tool is solid black and not light grey. The slur arc appears where I want it to be, but when I click on the next note or press the Enter key, the arc disappears and doesn't register on the TAB staff.
I know I'm performing the action correctly, because if I move up to the standard notation staff, it works as expected.
Is this just simply not possible to do in Progression?
For what it's worth, I'm running the 64-bit Progression 3.0.366 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I have been very disappointed with Progression 3. I contacted tech support about this issue and others. This is a standard option that should be available. If you "unhide" the music staff and enter slurs, then hide the music staff, they will appear on the tab. Only there is a HUGE problem. They never line up right, and they only appear at the top of the tablature staff. They don't connect the actual numbers on the tab. This it completely lame. It is jacked up. Presonus' solution is that I should upgrade to Notion. Screw that. It probably doesn't work either.
Also, you can't add multi-resting measures in Progression 3. This is a standard notation element that should be available in any notation software. They are missing the goal big time.
