So I just purchased Progression 3, but each time I try to open the installation file I get the message, "“Progression” can’t be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.". What exactly does this mean? What's the fix for this?

There's a setting on the Mac that doesn't allow unsigned applications. You can turn it off:

System Preferences --> Security & Privacy --> Allow apps downloaded from: --> set to "Anywhere"
