Is it possible to use a text string to tell N3 (three, not a typo) to switch to a different patch,
something like «If text = "a due" then jump to channel 2»?

Hello Fabio.
"Text" added to a Notion score are not part of the Notion "technique" syntax, which is used to gain control of 3rd party VSTI's response with Notion.
Words, text and lyrics objects cannot be used to control instruments or playback performance in Notion.

Actually you can create a custom VST technique which you will be able to assign to a bar, it will show up as an additional technique in your pallet in notion. You will then be able to create a rule for this technique and get Notion to send Midi to different channel. So to sum up, its quite possible to do what you want to do.

Sorry for tagging on to an old post.

But how does one go about creating a custom VST technique that will show up in the Notion pallet?

This may solve a prules problem I'm experiencing with Kontakt 5.

Help appreciated. Thanks.
