I wish there were a notation for a2 which would play the notes on both voice 1 and 2 without actually copying out the notes to each voice!

I have not tried to use it in custom rules "yet". You can use "Express Entry" to get _a2, a3, solo & tutti_ onto your cursor which then you apply to your score. There is a lot of undocumented code for features that Notion 5 can use. At this point custom rules could trigger a key-switch or other control to add a 2nd sound to the mix switch samples etc. etc. I definitely think it is worth trying to figure out a way to use this feature. ,Newberry |

If they have built it into the custom rules library maybe there will be some future implementation. A2 seems to be a fairly standard musical notation: when this mark occurs, both instruments play the same notes following. Seems like it would be fairly straightforward to implement this.

Michael,
I think there's ways to use it now! Depending on what sound library is used different methods are possible. _In the example below a2 changes the MIDI channel which would have a sample of unison playing instruments. Another way may be to control or un-mute the volume of an internal or external audio mixer track that contained instrument #2 with MIDI control change. I would say there are at least a few other methods possible. ,Newberry |
