Offset Video Start to a specific Bar

Please add the ability to decide at which Bar will the video start playback. It's like relative time code offset!
The reason is that, often it is useful to have a few bars before the start of the video to reset virtual instruments, or if you're scoring a specific scene but need a pick up before the down beat to connect with a previous scene.
This feature would be immensely useful.

thanks

David

A real simple solution is to add a count in on your video in the same tempo as the song so you actually create the blank space in the video not in S1... S1 is not a video editing or video friendly DAW so knowing it's limitations... simply make your own 4 bar intro in the same tempo... you can do this in any video editing software... even the free ones! just make an audio file of say 4 bars of click track in the tempo of the song and paste it on the front end of your video... make a copy of that and open your song in S1 and add the video... it should now start at bar 5... of course you can make it as many bars as you wish... but studio one is not capable of doing any type of video except a basic playback from start...

Note: make your click file at least one bar and one click over black screen and use the last click as your point of video start... so a 4 bar click plus one click and the video starts on beat 1 of bar 5... you can mute the click intro in video audio after you line it up.

This is Notion, not S1...

I believe the same method would apply to Notion as well... try it!

Thanks for the suggest, but I thought that this is the features request page, so why do I have to try to waste my time and implement a half bleep solution to an otherwise simple feature to be added. Surely anyone doing film scoring would appreciate this feature and if notion can' t do it, many other professional softwares and DAWs already do and support flexible timecode support and offsetting.

thanks for the suggestion though.
