Continuing my exploration of short peices for small ensembles, here's Number 10 in the series, Souvenir. This is my own free interpretation of a theme by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, based on his Chanson Triste.
I've used piano as the foundation and added a trio of solo strings along with clarinet and bass clarinet. I was focusing on harmony and building on a set chord progression (P.T.'s). This recording was realized using Notion and Studio One, featuring Aaron Venture Infinite Clarinet and Bass Clarinet, Ivory Italian Grand and Chris Hein Solo Strings.
