Reading the User Guide, I can find 92 examples of the word system. Specifically, I wanted to understand the definition of a system and then how to apply it.

I started a new score with just a bass clef. It provided 33 measures. I selected to show System breaks. Every line appears to be a System. However, if I check the first measure of what appears to be a new System, there are no breaks.


Goal here is to create practice sheets. Each practice item is 3 measures with a single measure per line. Then I want to force a new systems so I can use different part names ahead of the measures. So far I haven't found anything happening with the System concept.
