How can you write a piano part with more than one note value in a a staff.? This was taken from Logic 9 score.

MacBook Pro 15 in.  OSX El Capitan
Ver 10.11.6 Notion 5 Logic 9 other DAW's as well.

Hello Robert.
I'm not sure if this is what you mean but more than one voice is needed for polyphonic melodies and rhythms on one staff. A staff using the Multi-Voice input.
Turn on the menu item - View>Show Voice Colors - and use the Palette option to select and input the other voices needed for polyphonic phrasing.

I found that but I just can not get the shortcut for Voice 1 to work. Cmd+ 2-5 work but not Cmd+1 for voice 1. Maybe it's a bug.
Voices:
Enter in Voice x
CTRL/Cmd + x (where x is voice 1 - 4) Cmd for Mac (Cmd+5 = V1+2)
