I've revisited this piece after improving my rulesets. Notion is controlling Spitfire Sacconi Strings here, using Spitfire's UACC (Universal Articulation Controller Channel) system. It's a very interesting system where articulation changes are made by a combination of MIDI control channel and velocity messages, the advantage being that keynotes aren't required for articulation change. This means that the same set of articulation change messages can be used regardless of the pitch of the instrument.
More information on the UACC system can be found here: http://www.syntheticorchestra.com/blog/?10 There are three MIDI CC staves for each instrument, controlling dynamics, expression and vibrato. Enjoy, and feedback of course is always appreciated! phpBB [audio] Michael PS. There are a couple of audio glitches in the SoundCloud file. I've replaced it twice but can't seem to get rid of them...
