Running Notion 6 on a Surface Book, which has a high resolution display but a small screen, the VST GUIs are now tiny, much smaller than in Notion 5. How is this an improvement? Is there any way to show the GUIs the way they were before or increase their size in some other way?

By chance did you try to set the Notion-6 Preferences..?.
Try "Use Legacy DPI Scaling". What happens then? What about different Surface Book screen settings? Windows 10 seems to have given software companies trouble in this graphic aspect. And monitor resolutions have increased drastically in the last 5-10 years. I think Notion updated a few graphic elements in the Windows version.. Hopefully there will be more and better ways to understand and address these type of graphic issues on Windows systems soon. I'm sure we'll hear more about this sooner than later. ,Newberry |
That seems to make it worse. If I open Kontakt 5 with Legacy GUI Settings ticked the GUI is bigger but is massively zoomed in on only one part of the Kontakt interface. The problem seems to be that the outer frame of the VST's GUI is small and not resizeable.
I really hope this gets fixed, because for me the decisive advantage of Notion over competing products was that it handled scaling to high-resolution screens much better. |
Hi Paul,

ChrisS23 wroteHi Paul, Is there now a fix? I just bought Notion 6 (3-19-18); this is 1.5 years later than the post saying there will soon be a fix. The Kontakt GUI when it shows up in Notion 6 is so small that 20 of them could fill a computer screen, thus rendering Kontakt unusable. Using the Windows 10 magnifying glass is extremely awkward and difficult. Thanks! |
