Notion and Focusrite Scarlett 6i6/2i2 drivers

Bonjour,

One year ago I bought a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6, which I plugged in my desktop PC (Win7-Core i5).
I could not use it with Notion (4 or 5) : every time I launched playback, Notion crashed after a few bars.
Will Kent from Focusrite support gave me a link to a beta driver that solved the problem.
Then one month ago for my birthday (a big one...) I was given a Surface Pro 3 tablet (Win8.1, Core i5).
I bought a Scarlett 2i2 to match with it, and had Notion5 installed.
Exactly the same problem : Notion crashes after a few bars playback.
And exactly the same solution : a new beta driver link from Focusrite support.

Thanks for posting!

I was having this happen, but only with Notion instruments. Other VSTi worked without a problem. This seems to have solved the issue, but now my Scarlett doesn't show up in MixControl. What's your experience?

If you installed this driver :

Attention : This driver is only for Scarlett 2i2, which does not need MixControl (only 2in/2out).

First time I had the issue it was with a 6i6, and here is the answer of Will Kent from Focusrite support :

Thanks for the email, sorry to hear you are having some issues.

I have had a look at this here and could not reproduce the issues you are seeing, which leads me to believe that this could be a configuration problem. The latest release version of the driver is version 2.5.1 and is the same in mix control 1.7 and 1.8. However, we do have a newer version of mix control available which does contain a new driver. Could you please download and install this version of mix control from here:

So I think you could try this one for your 18i20, but this link is one year old, and maybe could you get in touch with Will for a possible newer driver.
