Ive been trying to record with a friend who lives far away. He had the newest version of GarageBand so I updated my OS because it wouldn't let me update it.

So I updated it and it ran fine! I could take his piano roll of the drums and put them in Logic Pro X and make a pretty good recording. Until i turned on my VSL1818. It literally shuts down my Mac when I do so.

Just curious if i can get it to work at all and if not I'm probably willing to just buy a simple two channel interface if theres one out there compatible. Any help or recommendations on a new compatible interface welcomed!
