I want to see some tutorials on VSL for the 1818. Not only are there no video tutorials to be found anywhere on the internet on the vsl software that comes w 1818vsl, but the manual for this software was not included in the box. (I finally downloaded it now) Yeah, I can probably figure it out eventually, but what a time waster. I'm quite disappointed in Presonus support. People are nice enough but impossible to get a hold of on the phone and take many days in answering emails. Joe Gilder's videos are helpful for studio one, but nothing on the VSL software? Read again: I want to see some tutorials on VSL for the 1818. This product is sold on musicians friend and marketed to the average musician, many of whom are very likely just beginning their journey into studio recording. You have a great product, why not spend just a little more time and effort on free video tutorials for us noobs? It will probably go a long way towards success for presonus in the long run. Its a lot easier to recommend this to a friend if its easy to find helpful info. Not to mention that the lack of support does not make me want to upgrade my hardware or software in the future. It just makes good business sense for Presonus to take care of their customers. I want to see some tutorials on Virtual Studio Live for the 1818. Also maybe something that explains when to use which features of both programs. (studio one versus VSL). --- Peace

I believe I got a manual four years ago but things that are in print are usually six months behind an it is ALWAYS a good habit to down load the latest drivers, software and manuals after installing a device.

Here is a basic diagram of the latency that VSL provides made four years ago on the old forum.

I agree there are not too many specific to 1818 VSL as it shares a lot of features with the entire AB VSL family.

There where basic marketing video out four years ago.

I second this motion. I'm not a sound engineer i just need to understand the 1818 well enough to do my home recordings. Although I have been able to record with it, i know i'm not understanding things that would be helpful. I don't understand how to switch between monitoring from the 1818 or monitoring from my DAW. I'm also monitoring a guitar that is miced from the amp and has a DI signal on another channel, but i only want to hear what is coming from the mic, not the clean DI feed. I'm sure if i fiddle with it enough i can make it happen, but would i understand what i did? maybe not. So understanding is important.
So again, i second the motion for video tutorials focusing on the 1818VSL
