Hi Everybody!

I'm aware this question has been posted years ago on many sites. Yet I have tried all of their solutions to no avail.

My setup: Windows 10 64 bit (desktop PC), Audiobox USB 96, PreSonus M7 Microphone.

My problem: I have bought an Audiobox USB 96 and have been unable to record anything with it thus far. I have installed universal control and after much troubleshooting, it finally reads my audiobox. However, when I boot up Studio One 6, I get an error message "The audio device could not be initialized. Please check your hardware configuration and try again."

I am very confused as to why I continuously get this message and have tried everything that has been recommended on previous forums.

To sum up, Universal Control can read/identify my audiobox, however StudioOne cannot.

What I have tried:
1. Using windows sound. This seems to negate my Audiobox and everything connected to it. It will not pick up the microphone attached to the audiobox, however will pick up my gaming headset mic.

2. Disabling all sound in windows sound - both playback and recording devices. This does not change how my audiobox is found by Studio One.

3. Reinstalling both Universal Control and Studio One. Multiple times. Drivers and software are all up to date. As of 30 April 2023, Universal Conrol is running 4.0.0.90879 and Studio One is running 6.1.1.92984.

4. My Audiobox is plugged into the rear of my PC, directly into the motherboard, into a USB 2.0 port. It is the same USB port that I set it up with.

I've tried to be as specific as possible with everything but please let me know if there is anything I've missed!

I'm starting to think that my audiobox could be busted, but I'd really love to get this working and start recording some music!
