I have three setup where I tried this
Dell XPS on USB 3.0 Ports(not USB-C) : Works
MacBook Air 2018 with Apple USB-C Adapter: Does NOT work
MacBook Pro 2017 with Apple USB-C Adapter: Does NOT work

I see some stickies on the main page but my issue is not about the AudioBox not being detected but instead I am not getting any sound output in any of my macs. It shows up fine in preference or in Studio One/GarageBand.

Since, I have not seen similar issue here, I wanted to check if this is a problem with my AudioBox.

Edit 1:
If I plug my headphones in and connect the audiobox to any of my Macs I get output through the phones just fine. I have the AudioBox USB 96 selected in System Preference as both input and output device.
Also, tried an Aukey Hub lying around but to no avail while recording audio in.

Edit 2:
I am a fool, I jumped to conclusions too quickly reading about some boxes not working with the Apple adapter and on Macbooks, it turns out I my guitar was not turned ON when I connected to the mac. Feel stupid. This can be closed.
