Hi:

I have a Samsung ATIV Book 2 Laptop with all the system requirements (Windows 8.1 4GB RAM Intel® Celeron® 1007U 1.5 GHz, 2 MB, caché L3), Intel NM70 . I bought the Audiobox USB in Miami.. I'm from Chile.. I have done ALL the steps that all the forum topics have and nothing has worked.

I'm really sad because it cost me a lot to buy this unit. I work in dubbing for Discovery, FOX and other series and i need desperately a solution. I plug the device and it' doesn't recgonize it.

I downloaded the last driver of presonus but nothing worked.

PLease help me!

I had the same problem. I tried a ton of USB cables until I used one with a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrite_bead on it. Seamless ever since!

I'm having the same problem. Drives me nuts. I have followed every step in the links mentioned. Still, the device cannot be recognized by windows. I tried it on another computer which has Windows 7 and it works perfectly. Is this really a USB cable problem?

I solved this together with activegen here on this Forum.

First of all, we used a USB hub to convert our USB 3.0 input to 2.0.

He found this in another thread:

1. Run - Presonus_AudioBox_Installer_v1_3_5633.exe
...a. Follow prompts and then stop when it prompts for "Setup requires that the AudioBox device is plugged in...Click "Install Driver"..."
.......i. Do NOT click "Install Driver" yet
..........1. Browse to C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Audiobox
..........2. Browse to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp
............. a. Look for a folder similar to "is-EQH15.tmp", roughly 9MB in size (name varies, but that size is always around 9MB)
............. b. Copy the contents into C:\Program Files\PreSonus\AudioBox
.......ii. Now return the the install program and click "Install Driver"
...b. Finish the installation
2. Reboot
3. AudioBox.exe should run correctly and the driver should be installed.

@erikekblad

I have the same issue detailed in the OP, and went to try your suggestion. The 9MB folder in my case is an empty folder. There are 3 similarly named folders, probably due to messing with installing from the CD and then downloading drivers off of the presonus website twice, all folders are empty. The Audiobox folder is in some odd folder under users somewhere and not in program files\presonus as it would normally be, and only has two files. One just titled "audiobox" and the other is the uninstaller.

Any other suggestions?
