If I plug in a condenser mic with phantom power (AT2020), the signal sent to Studio One is fine.

If I use a dynamic mic' (Beta 52), the signal is fine, with or without the phantom power turned on.

When I try to use both, the signal from the AT2020 channel is so hot it's constantly clipping, even with the gain dial on the AudioBox turned all the way down.

I have both mic's plugged in with XLR cables.

Do you have any idea what's going wrong? Should I be using a different cable for the dynamic mic'?

That's weird. The only thing I can think of is that the dynamic mic or mic cable is shorting out phantom power on one side, which would unbalance the power to the condenser mic. So check the cables (for breaks, shorts and incorrect wiring) and also check that the dynamic mic's capsule is electrically isolated from the ground pin.

Btw. which AudioBox are you using?
