I look behind the box, and it shows me inputs 3-4 and in front, inputs 1-2.

Then I look at the manual and it says:

"The FIREBOX is the most powerful recording interface of its size, with the ability to record and playback six inputs and eight outputs simultaneously at 24-bit/96K sample rate"

So, how do I get the six inputs? What do the six inputs mean?

The last 2 inputs can come from the S/PDIF connection.

matthewgorman, thanks for your response.
Is there some way of using a regular analog input and converting it to S/PDIF?
Like, a third party hardware solution?

Any preamp with a SPDIF output should work. Unfortunately, many of them will cost more than your Firebox, even with just one or two inputs.
