New iMac 2015 how to connect FireWire without a FireWire port?

Hi everyone, I'm going to buy for my first time an IMac but I'm not sure how to connect my firepod if the new iMac miss the FireWire ports. Will an adapter works good? May I choose the apple FireWire to thunderbolt ?

The Apple Thunderbolt/Firewire adaptor works very well.
Remember to get the correct type firewire cable...

Can you please link The right cable? Can I use The provided cable with The firepod, I always uesd with my pc ?

The apple Thunderbolt - Firewire unit provides FW800 on a 9 pin connection. All you need is a 6 to 9 pin cable to connect direct to your firepod, or a 6 to 9 pin adaptor to use your existing cable.

Just make sure that the cable/adapter is specifically stated to be bilingual, or it wont work.

Can someone be more specific on the cable needed to connect a new mac mini to a AI console?? I've searched amazon, newegg, and ebay to no avail.
