Hi,

I am putting together a 4U mobile studio unit.

2x firestudio 2626
eleven rack

what would be the most commonly used laptop and firewire card for the rig? could be mac or windows i don't care..

The laptop in my sig works just fine with my 26x26. The onboard chipset works ok but I also use an express card with it at times. The key factor is the firewire chipset. Here's a link of Presonus approved chipsets:
