I'm trying to connect a Firestudio 2626 to a Macbook Pro that only has firewire 800. (Snow Leopard)

I've read in various places that a bilingual firewire 400 to 800 cable will do the trick theoretically.

Is this officially going to work?

Do I need to get a bilingual 9 pin to 6 pin or 9 pin to 4 pin?

Thanks
