Cristofe, I have been following the post that you and Darryl Thompson had involving a Windows 7 build, the troubles he had and the help you gave him. I too am going to have to build a Win 7 system to be able to continue using my Firestudio 26x26 and Digimax FS. In this post you asked if anyone has Universal Control 1.11. I found a zip file "Presonus Universal Control-PC 1 1 1" the file created on 6-12-2010. I'm not sure if this what you need. I could send a copy for you to explore. Also I will probably, most likely, need some assistance when building my new system so if I can reach out to you when I'm ready, within the next 6 months or so that would be fantastic. I will reach out to Darryl as well.

Yeah, that sounds like exactly what I'm looking for! I'm very familiar with legacy firewire Presonus/Win7 setups and would be glad to help you out when and if you need it.

The FS 26x26 and Digimax FS8 are a great combo. In most cases, especially if you want to run a current version of Studio One, the best OS and Driver combo is, IMHO this:

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 + Platform Updated 64-bit
Universal Control v1.2.2715, Driver v3.5.5

Other versions of UC can be used but this setup will give you the most features.

I do, of course have current systems....got to keep up with the times ya' know. But I also believe if it aint broke.....you know the rest. I love my FS 26x26's and plan to keep using them as long as I
can. Heck....my mastering station is running WinXP so I can keep using my Terratec EWS88MT
& TC Powercore PCI card.

I am also pretty much interested in getting this UC V 1.11

My story is long but basically I need a low low UC version to be able to upgrade the SL 16.4.2 firmware which is 1.02.

I could get V1.2 but it bails out the PCI device in the windows 7/8 and 10 device manager.

Unless there is a way to upgrade the firmware with another tool....

Ideas ?
