I currently have 2 FSP's that are daisy-chained. I have 4 headphones as monitors connected to the back of one of the units. I can't seem to figure out how to get more headphones into the other unit to use to monitor? EG: I have 5 people in my band, how can we all get a separate "mix" in our "in-ears" or headphones? Four, I can do...not sure how to get the others up and running?
Thanx,
"G" :roll:

They would need to be configured in your DAW.

There is a video somewhere about this. It involves feeding the SPDIF out on one mixer to the SPDIF in on the other.

Found it:

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I have seen this video before. I do have the cable connecting the two units but how would I configure the headphones in DAW? It recognizes the 4 in the top unit automatically.???? Can you tell me how I might configure the DAW to see headphones 5-8?

Thanks,

"G"

What daw? IIRC, the units are chained together via firewire, and the daw should see all abvailable outputs. You then need to go into options, song setup (with the song open), go to the outputs tab, and configure your outputs from each unit either as stereo pairs or mono. Then create sends on each mixer channel. directing the output where you want it.

Thank you Matt! You should do a tutorial video for those of us that are novices at this yet.

No I shouldn't. :oops:

That's what we are here for. One thing you can do to help us. Create a profile sig with your equipment listed, pc/mac, os version, etc, etc. It can really speed up the process when people can see the environment you are in.

Matt,
You mentioned that I need to "go into the song setup"...So, do I have to use Studio One just to get more than 4 headphones working? Can I not just open "Universal Control" to adjust headphones and levels when I'm just having a rehearsal, versus doing a "Song"?

You should be able to do that. I havent used uc in almost ever. I am more familiar with S1.

You should trade the 2 fsp's in and get an RM Mixer. Makes it much easier.
