FireStudio Mobile doesn't work unless SIP is disabled...

So I have the FireStudio Mobile connected via 400 > 800 firewire cable > FW to TB2 > TB2 to TB3 (USB-C) adapters.
I installed the latest Universal Control 1.7.6 with SIP enabled. When I reboot the iMac Pro, the FireStudio flashes between red and blue. When I launch into recovery mode and disable SIP and reboot the iMP, the FireStudio works.
How do I get the FireStudio to work when SIP is enabled?
