A light on my FireStudio Mobile unit keeps blinking red to blue. It's extremely annoying because it blinks like every 0.5 seconds.   It's the light on the upper, far right of front face of the unit; it's surrounded by the firewire 800 symbol.

Anyone know how to get this light to turn off? Thank you for your time!

I believe that is an error condition of some sort. It may be losing sync? Mine never flashes unless it is not synced. Check your event logs to see if you see anything. It cant IMHO be working properly, unless your FSM is flaky. Do you lose audio when recording when it flashes red?

I uninstalled UC, and it still synced blue on power up/reboot, although S1 did not see it, Windows did see it and some lower HW level.

Waterloo is correct. Flashing light means the unit is losing sync. Try connecting with the second FW jack on the FSM, or switch cables and see if that helps. You also may want to check any adapters you are using in the chain to connect.
