If you will be on the Internet, you should have antivirus software. Maybe you'd want to disconnect from the Internet and disable the antivirus software when recording?
Many people opt to keep their recording computer off the internet. In this case, you would be less susceptible to attack and AV software would be less necessary.

I have a couple of laptops that go online and record. And yes, it's always best to disable wi-fi & antivirus and go offline while recording. And I do exactly that with my main DAW. I spent a long time getting it working they way I wanted. I don't let it near the net and I don't use AV software on that machine.
