I have a demo copy of S1. I am trying to bring a wave (.wav) file into the Project section and I get this message

it's probably an supported format of some kind or a damaged file. Attach a sample of it or link to the file.

Not all wav files are made equal. S1 can read 1- and 2-track wav files and they must have proper file headers. So recording sessions must be closed properly allowing the file headers to be written into the files. What is the source of those wavs?
